We focus on dreams in our company.
One of the things we are clear about is that work-life balance is a myth. There is no “work-life” and “life-life”. There’s just life. A bad day at work can come home with you and impact your relationships. A struggle at home can impact your work. It’s not about balancing the two, it’s about acknowledging that life is better, funner, and healthier when lived intentionally.
One of the ways we practice this intentionality is by focusing on dreams. We each wrote down 100 dreams we want to achieve in our life. Some dreams are material, like having a cabin on the lake. Some dreams are relationship focused, like cherishing a partner so much you can feel his heart smile. Some are character focused, like living as if nobody gets to be broken.
